Can I switch plans later?+
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from Settings. We prorate the difference and adjust on your next invoice. Downgrading partway through a billing cycle credits the unused portion of the higher tier toward future months. Upgrading is immediate; the new feature limits unlock as soon as the change saves.
What counts as a "social account"?+
Each individual account you connect. Two Instagram profiles count as two; one X plus one LinkedIn counts as two. PostRoute supports 9 platforms — the cap on each plan is how many accounts you can plug in across them. A workspace member who connects three of their personal accounts plus the brand account uses four of the workspace's account budget, regardless of which platforms those four happen to be.
What's the difference between Starter and Studio?+
Starter is for one person publishing on their own accounts: ten social accounts, unlimited scheduling, basic analytics. Studio adds the workflow features a small team needs — the unified inbox to triage DMs, mentions and comments across every platform, the workspace library to share and reuse media assets, the audit log to see who did what, plus seat sharing for up to five teammates. If you're solo and just want to publish, Starter is enough. If you handle replies, share assets with collaborators, or want a paper trail, Studio is the floor.
Do you offer non-profit or education discounts?+
Yes — 30% off any plan. Email [email protected] from your organization domain (a school, registered non-profit, or .edu address) and we'll send you a discounted Stripe link. Discounts apply to monthly and annual billing alike. We don't verify status beyond the email domain — we trust you.
Is there a free plan?+
No, but every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You'll add a card upfront — we won't charge anything until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before then. The trial unlocks every paid feature including the inbox, library, and audit log so you can fully kick the tyres before deciding which tier fits. Cancellation is one click in Settings; no email-back-and-forth.
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard's Billing section. You keep access until the end of the current billing period — no immediate cutoff. After that the workspace enters a 7-day grace window during which your data is preserved; cancel a cancellation in that window and you're back exactly where you were. After the grace window, drafts are deleted and scheduled posts are marked failed with a "subscription_lapsed" reason.
Do you offer annual billing?+
Yes — toggle annual at checkout for a 20% discount on every plan. Annual billing renews automatically on the anniversary date. We'll email you 14 days before renewal so the charge doesn't surprise anyone.
Are there usage limits I need to worry about?+
Scheduled posts are unlimited on every plan. Connected accounts: 10 on Starter, unlimited on Studio and Agency. Brand workspaces: 1 on Starter, 5 on Studio, unlimited on Agency. Team seats: 1 on Starter, 5 on Studio, 25 on Agency — past that, get in touch for a custom plan. Everything else is genuinely unlimited — there's no per-API-call or per-MB-of-storage surprise.
